Installation instructions for the hot steam safety valve

Valve installation must be carried out by technical personnel with knowledge of the equipment, to avoid incorrect installation causing the valve to leak.

    1. Recommendations
Install the valve as close to the system as possible so that the system is protected. The vertical connection pipe should be straight and short; and the pipe size should be at least equal to the valve inlet size.

Avoid transmitting unacceptable static, dynamic or thermal forces from the inlet and outlet to the valve. Avoid tension.

Transport must be in the direction of the arrow on the packing unit. Do not install any sealing device in front of the valve. In the case of steam; Install an air exhaust pipe in front of the valve to remove air from the system when the system is in operation. If the liquid is harmful, flammable, toxic… install exhaust pipes leading to a safe place.

    2. Remove condensate

    3. Insulation material
The valve is not insulated, so that the spring does not heat up.

    4. Conduit
    – Inlet hoses should be as short as possible, with a pressure drop of less than 3% of discharge pressure.

    – Outlet pipes:  The exhaust pipes must not put force on the valve; It is necessary to have a design with a drain hose and a hose holder is required.

The hose should be as short as possible, with a diameter sufficient to limit the pressure drop across the hose to no more than 10% of the discharge pressure.

The discharge pipe diameter should not be less than the valve diameter.

Exhaust pipes shall be of sufficient size to ensure that an obstructing pressure on the pipeline is generated; not more than 15% of communal pressure.

A silencer should be installed at the discharge site to reduce noise levels.
