Operating Principle Of Samyang Korea Pressure Reducing Valve
PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE OPERATING PRINCIPLE
SAMYANG KOREA
Working principle of pressure reducing valve
At the initial position, the valve is fully open, the width of the outlet is set by the adjusting screw. The effect of the valve almost keeps the output pressure value constant. In the case of the output pressure value increasing in the hydraulic system; the pressure of the empty chamber connected to the valve outlet by the connecting groove also increases; pushing the control piston up reduces the cross-section of the outlet; leading to a decrease in the output pressure. When the output pressure decreases, the control piston goes down, increasing the cross-section of the outlet; leading to an increase in the output pressure.
Thus, this process makes the output pressure almost unchanged. When the auxiliary spring sets an inlet pressure of the valve; the slide tube is at the initial position; the pressure in the chambers is the same; the fluid passes through the valve freely. When the auxiliary spring is set, an outlet pressure value greater than the inlet pressure; the auxiliary valve will open; the fluid in the chamber near the auxiliary valve will escape a small amount. Thanks to that, the flow through the groove on the slide tube is formed.
At that time, the pressure in that chamber will decrease and the main slide tube will be lifted; reducing the cross-section between the lower chamber. That process is repeated, causing the slide tube to oscillate around the set position. Any change in the inlet pressure and outlet pressure will cause the slide tube to move. The outlet pressure is always kept constant.
Features of pressure reducing valve
Samyang pressure reducing valve is a type of valve that can reduce the pressure inside the pipeline when the pressure reaches a certain limit. This type of pressure reducing valve has 2 types of pressure reduction; is to adjust the inlet pressure to a lower level at the outlet; or to automatically release the pressure to a preset level; to protect the safety of the application system.
Depending on the design, the valve can operate automatically due to the high pressure that will push the valve; to escape or use a pressure sensor to open the valve door. With manual operation; people often use a pressure gauge or a signal light system; to monitor and actively release the valve when necessary.
The pressure is accurate, safe and stable; remains constant; once the valve is overpressured to open the door completely and provide timely relief.
The closing speed can be adjusted, eliminating pressure fluctuations.
The operation of the diaphragm actuator is reduced to a minimum delay.
It can be installed in any position; without changing settings or removing pressure from a pipeline maintenance; and testing can be performed.
Application of samyang pressure reducing valve
In air compressor
Air compressors are widely used in industry to perform blow-offs; run auxiliary tools and inflate tires and airbags. Their main purpose is to ensure that pressure chambers never reach dangerous levels; and to allow the user to adjust the pressure accordingly.
In hydraulic equipment
Including industrial water treatment systems, water and fuel transmission systems in ships; oil pipeline systems... Pressure reducing valves play a role in minimizing possible incidents due to water or gas pressure being higher than the allowable level; at the same time, helping the system balance pressure within a safe level.
In food processing industry
Nowadays, all pressure cookers will have a pressure regulator and a pressure release valve as a safety mechanism; to prevent explosion in case high temperature and pressure need to be maintained to cook food quickly.

PNEUMATIC PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE OPERATING PRINCIPLE
SAMYANG KOREA
Working principl
– The pneumatic pressure reducing valve operates on the principle of the difference in weight created by the water on the disc and on the piston.
– In fact, each bar of pressure is equivalent to about 1kg/cm2. When the disc and piston have a different ratio in diameter; so there will be two opposite oscillations and the same weight; but there is a difference in pressure of the air compressor.
– Therefore, if you want to adjust the output pressure; it is necessary to have the impact of the spring operating in the same direction as the direction of the gas at the inlet side of the valve. At that time, due to the symmetrical weight and greater pressure on the piston; it makes the valve close and temporarily stop working.
Applications of pneumatic pressure reducing valves
Pneumatic pressure reducing valves are often installed before stop valves such as butterfly valves; ball valves or gate valves to adjust the pressure before passing through the pipeline system. Usually accompanied by a pressure gauge to accurately determine the current pressure of the pipeline. The purpose of installing the valve is to provide an accurate pressure for the system that is always less than the pressure at the inlet. Therefore, installing the valve is very necessary because the valve will help protect the pipeline and the types of valves installed on the system.
Why use pneumatic pressure reducing valve?
Our working system is large and far apart; the compressed air line is often provided by the central system to save on supply. However, the pipeline is too long and far, leading to very weak terminal pressure if we do not have high input pressure. Therefore, in order for the entire system to have strong enough pressure, the input pressure must be maintained at a large level.
This phenomenon leads to the pressure near the input being very high, while at the end or further away it is low. Therefore, it is necessary to have a pneumatic pressure reducing valve for places with high pressure; to ensure the pressure for the entire system is guaranteed. In particular, the pneumatic pressure reducing valve also helps us protect the equipment on the pipeline.
In addition, when using a pneumatic pressure reducing valve, it will help the system using it have a stable output; with stable pressure. This helps the production and operation of the system to be stable and ensure safety; as well as have pressure

PRINCIPLE OF WORKING WATER PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE
SAMYANG KOREA
Water reducing valve operating principle
The pressure reducing valve must be installed with the water inlet direction following the arrow on the valve body (C).
– To REDUCE the outlet pressure of the pressure reducing valve, remove the cap (A) and loosen the screw (turn counterclockwise).
– To INCREASE the outlet pressure of the pressure reducing valve, remove the cap (A) and tighten the screw (turn clockwise).
Water pressure reducing valve application
Water pressure regulators are widely used or very popular in high-rise apartments; in clean water supply pipeline systems; fire protection systems; so water pressure regulators are needed for machinery and equipment to operate in the best way.
If the water pressure reducing valve is not installed, the pressure on the pipes of the systems will be very high; this means that the water pressure is too high and will break and damage the equipment on the pipes such as: water filters, sanitary equipment, water heaters, etc.
How to adjust water pressure reducing valve
Based on the principle of the water pressure reducing valve; we will guide you on how to adjust the water pressure reducing valve properly.
- First, install the water pressure reducing valve on the pipe; note to install it in the correct direction of the arrow on the valve; the arrow points in the direction of the flow.
- Open the valve cover, you will see the adjusting screw and the fixing screw of the valve.
- Open the fixing screw, start using a wrench to turn the adjusting screw.
- While turning the adjusting screw, look at the pressure of the gauge at the outlet. When tightening the adjusting screw, the pressure at the outlet is increased; and loosening the adjusting screw, the pressure at the outlet is reduced
- When the gauge shows the correct output pressure according to the intended use. Keep the adjusting screw and start tightening the fixing screw. Then screw the valve cover back as before.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF STEAM PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE
SAMYANG KOREA
Samyang steam pressure reducing valve is a mechanical device used to stabilize the output pressure on the pipeline. The output pressure can be adjusted by adjusting the spring compression force on the valve neck.
Installing a steam pressure reducing valve is advisable because it helps stabilize the pressure at the boiler output and the production line input.
Adjusting the output pressure to be stable helps prevent sudden pressure changes from occurring, causing damage to the valves installed behind the pipeline. The pressure reducing valves are controlled by precise pilots to keep the output at a fixed level. In case the water pressure increases higher than the initial expected pressure, the pilot and pressure regulator will close, so there is almost no sudden pressure increase behind the valve.
General structure of steam pressure reducing valve
Steam pressure reducing valve is generally composed of parts including: body, membrane, piston, spring, locking pin and cap.
The valve is fixed on the pipeline, just remove the cap and loosen the locking screw; adjust the pressure down by turning counterclockwise and vice versa to increase the pressure. Adjusting the pressure regulator valve and the pressure regulating valve with a pressure gauge ensures the most stable output pressure accuracy. The water pressure reducing valve will have a different structure from the steam pressure reducing valve.
Operating principle
In direct acting steam pressure reducing valves the amount of valve opening is determined directly by the movement of the spring adjustment. If the spring is compressed it creates an opening force on the valve which increases the flow. When the outlet pressure is applied to the underside of the spring (usually with a bellows or diaphragm). Where the upward force acts against the spring. The spring compression force that opens the valve is limited allowing for sufficient sensitivity to compensate for changes in outlet pressure. The result is simple pressure control through a valve orifice where high velocity flow occurs.
Advantages
Although it is possible to maintain a constant pressure. By using a combination of a control valve, pressure sensor, and controller. A pressure reducing valve offers the advantage of being able to control pressure through a fully automatic closed loop operation. It can offer the additional advantage of extremely rapid response. By instantly sensing and adjusting based on the outlet pressure.
Heating processes often benefit from using steam at lower pressures than that provided by the boiler. As such, pressure reducing valves are often used to reduce steam pressure to the required set point values of the process.
