  • Conval Clampseal Globe Valve

The Conval Clampseal® product line includes Angle, Y, and T pattern globe and check valves, modularly designed to allow for in-line repairability in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. A pressure-actuated backseat provides valve integrity by ensuring a positive internal stop and extends packing life by isolating the packing from the pressure when the valve is fully open. The pressure seal bonnet provides easy access for servicing with no welds to cut or seal rings or gaskets to replace. Replacement parts are low in number, common across valves sizes, and readily available. Design options include NACE compliance, fire safe, and low emissions.

    Technical Summary:

    • 1/2″ to 4″
    • ASME Class 900 to 4500
    • Available in Angle, Y, or T pattern
    • Pressure-assisted seal bonnet
    • In-line repairable

    DESIGN FEATURES

    Globe Valve Body Styles

    • Y-Globe Stop, Check and Stop Check Valves
Y-pattern globe valves provide the maximum Cv possible in a globe valve. All Y-pattern valves are rodable. Available in 1/2″ to 4″; ASME pressure classes through 4500; SA105, F22, F91, F316, F347, Inconel™, Monel™ and other materials.

    • T-Pattern Stop, Check and Stop Check Valves
T-pattern, vertical stem globe valves provide easily accessible stems and extentions for remote manual operation. Available in 1/2″ to 3″; ASME pressure classes through 4095; A105, F22, F91, F316, F347, Inconel™, Monel™ and other materials.

    • Angle Stop, Check and Stop Check Valves
Angle pattern globe valves economically eliminate the need for separate valves and 90° joints. They also reduce the number of installation welds. Available in 1/2″ to 4″; ASME pressure classes through 4095; A105, F22, F91, F316, F347, Inconel™, Monel™ and other materials.

    Valve packing system

    • The CLAMPSEAL® packing system incorporates corrosion-inhibited, high-density graphitic packing. Uniform loading from the axial one-piece gland and the highly polished stainless steel stem and stuffing box ensure a tight seal between packing material and sealing surfaces.

    Rapid In-Line Repairability

    • The CLAMPSEAL® globe valve is much easier to repair than anything else on the market. The CLAMPSEAL® globe valve line provides a modular solution to rising maintenance expense. Low first cost is not as important as low cost over the serviceable life of a valve. Maintaining a Conval valve is far easier and much less costly than replacing a competitor’s valve.

    Pressure Seal Bonnet

    • The simple and effective pressure seal bonnet provides ready access for servicing with no welds to cut or seal rings or gaskets to replace. The body-to-bonnet joint integrity is maintained through countless thermal cycles.

    Single-piece Gland

    • In extreme environments, the simpler the design and the fewer the parts, the better. The durable single-piece stainless steel gland contributes to the longevity of the valve.

    Axial-Loaded Packing System

    • The Axial design ensures tight concentricity, which eliminates side loading of the packing and minimizes wear forces on the trim components. This feature is critical for superior valve performance.

    Pressure-Actuated Backseat

    • The CLAMPSEAL® pressure-actuated backseat provides maximum valve integrity by ensuring a positive internal stop for the valve stem and disc assembly. The pressure actuated backseat also extends packing life by securely isolating the packing from the pressure when the valve is fully open.
